The Rangers Athletic Club proudly hosts one U13AA team that competes in the highly competitive Alberta Elite Hockey League (AEHL). Our athletes face top teams from Edmonton and the surrounding area, providing a challenging environment that showcases the best players and coaches in their age group.

Registration Fees

• FSMH Registration Fees – See Registration Page (6 equal payment plans available if registered before July 15)

• Late Fees – A $200 late fee applies to all registrations after July 15

Additional Costs

• FSMH Fundraising Bond – $50 per family (required to meet minimum fundraising requirements)

• Team Fees – Approximately $1,000–$4,000, determined by each team based on fundraising participation

• Tryout/Practice Jersey – Each player will receive a tryout jersey during evaluations, which will also serve as their practice jersey for the season

The U13AA season typically begins in early September with tryouts held over the September long weekend. Once teams are formed, they compete in the Alberta Elite Hockey League (AEHL), facing top-level opponents throughout the region.

From October through March, teams play approximately 34 regular season games, with about half of those games hosted at home in Fort Saskatchewan and the remainder played in Edmonton and surrounding communities.

Practices are scheduled regularly in Fort Saskatchewan, Bruderheim, and Lamont, and are typically held on full ice, ensuring players have the space and structure needed to develop their skills at a high level.

What is Provided

• Game Jerseys – 2 jerseys (home and away), returned to FSMH at the end of the season

• Game Socks – 2 pairs (home and away), yours to keep

• Tryout/Practice Jersey – provided during evaluations and used throughout the season

All uniforms (socks and sweaters) are supplied by FSMH and remain FSMH property. They are to be worn only for league, playoff, and exhibition games — not for practices. Uniforms and equipment are assigned to each team and managed by the Coach/Manager, who is responsible for care during the season and return at year-end. Any questions or concerns should be directed to the Equipment Coordinator. The official uniform follows the New York Rangers home and away colors, with proper cresting.

Players at the U11AA, U13AA, U15AA/AAA, U16AA/AAA, and U18AA/AAA levels are required to wear red helmets and red pants. These colors identify FSMH’s “Zone AAA” and “Regional AA” teams. The cost and purchase of these items are the responsibility of each team/parent and are not covered by FSMH.
