Fort Saskatchewan Rangers Intermediate Sledge Hockey team wins Gold!!

The Fort Sask. Rangers Sledge hockey team went undefeated at the 6^th annual Western Canada Sledge Hockey Tournament held at the Edmonton Garrison April 16 – 18. The Sledge Rangers opened the weekend with a 10-0 win over the Edmonton Edge Friday evening. They posted a 7-0 win over the Calgary Stingers Saturday as well as a 1-1 tie with Bruno Saskatchewan T-Birds.  This sent the Sledge Rangers into the Gold medal game in first place.

Shane Veenstra was named coach of the year from the Rem 15AA league for 2009/10. 

Nicholas Veenstra was top scorer for the Rem15AA league for 2009/10.  Nicholas, Joey and Lane Morin were the top line in the league.  A great season and huge effort for the team that was not suppose to even be.  Big pat on the backs of all the players, coaches, parents and fans that supported this team.
