Brendan Hurley The 46 players chosen
to compete at the U17 Male Provincial Camp were scouted
throughout the season and evaluated through Team Alberta
Programs. The World U17 Hockey Challenge is the pinnacle
event for an athlete in the Team Alberta Program and is the
first stage of Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence which
in turn leads to the National Team Canada U18 and U20
Programs.

Kyle Barr, Jarid Hauptman, and Davin Stener
The
80 players chosen to compete at the U16 Male Provincial Camp
were scouted throughout the season and at the Alberta Cup
tournament in late April. The U16 Male Program is the second
stage of the development and identification process that
feeds Team Alberta and Team Pacific.

HELMETS MANDATORY

Hockey Alberta announced today that any coach, trainer, assistant
coach, guest coach or volunteer who is on the ice or floor (inline
hockey) at practice or a similar function must wear a CSA approved
helmet with the chin strap of the helmet securely fastened. This
is mandatory and effective immediately.
